College Trustee
Lisa Petrides

Thank you for visiting my website. It has been my honor to serve as your representative on the San Mateo County Community College District Board of Trustees. We have accomplished so much together in just a few short years. I have loved working hard alongside residents, small businesses, and leaders in our Coastside and Peninsula communities, and others throughout the County, to deliver results to you. Here are just a few of the things we accomplished together:

✔ Created the first ever Half Moon Bay SMCCCD Coastal satellite campus with state-of-the-art technology, making our community colleges truly accessible to all the residents of our county.

✔ Increased SMCCCD’s enrollment by 13% after the COVID pandemic, during a time when most community colleges have struggled with declining enrollment.

✔ Passed legislation to create the SMCCCD Free College Pilot Program, keeping community college affordable for all students, including our military veterans.

✔ Expanded affordable student housing options.

✔ Demanded transparent, accountable public decision-making.

I remain committed to collaborating with colleagues and leaders across our County to expand equal access to quality education for students of all ages, backgrounds, and socioeconomic status. Let’s continue our work together to ensure our community colleges are accessible to all.
